FGCU To Host Recruits Over Big Weekend

With Atlantic Sun play winding down to the final stretch, a couple of Florida Gulf Coast recruits will be visiting over the weekend and taking in Saturday's game vs. North Florida.

Sajon Ford (6-11 PF) 2015: Out of St. Petersburg, Ford plays for Gibbs HS and during the AAU season, Team Speights. FGCU commit Christian Terrell also rides with Team Speights so the two know each other but Ford plays on the the team younger. He does currently hold an offer from Florida Gulf Coast.

Michael Green (5-11 PG) 2015: Green, a 2015 point guard, plays for South Plantation HS in Fort Lauderdale and Team Breakdown during the AAU circuit. Eagles commit Zach Johnson also ran with Team Breakdown. Green does not currently hold an offer from FGCU.

Rodney Hunter (6-5 SG) 2015: With Mariner HS, in Cape Coral, Hunter has been averaging 15 points and 2 assists so far this season. He does not yet have an offer from FGCU but does have offers from Kennesaw State and the Eagles' opponent on Saturday, UNF.

Mark Matthews (6-5 SG) 2015: A local Fort Myers HS player, Matthews, at 6-5, can play either SG or SF. He is averaging 19 ppg and 8 rpg so far this season and is great in transition. FGCU has shown interest but he does not hold an offer.

Zach Lee (6-7 SF) 2014: From Elev8 Sports Institute, Lee is the only 2014 recruit in attendance. He holds an offer from FGCU and tells me FAU is going after him the hardest.

Two of FGCU's commits in the class of 2014, Christian Terrell and Zach Johnson, will also both be visiting for Saturday's game.

FGCUEaglesNest has also been informed that FGCU is working hard to get 2015 guard CJ Williamson down to #DunkCity for a visit.
