FGCU Transfer Dajuan Graf Commits To North Carolina Central

Former Florida Gulf Coast guard Dajuan Graf is transferring to North Carolina Central, he confirmed with the Eagles Nest on Monday. The news was first reported by Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports.

The Charlotte, N.C, native is headed back to his home state after averaging 4.9 points and 2.1 points in his sophomore season at FGCU. His 73 assists on the year were second only to starting point guard Brett Comer. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2014-15 season.

Graf joins a NCCU team that finished the 2013-14 season with a 28-6 record. After defeating Morgan State in the MEAC Championship, the Eagles saw their upset bid fall just short against Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament first round.

While Graf transferred to be closer to home, center Eric McKnight was kicked off the team after the 2013-14 season. He is headed to Tennessee to play his final year under Donnie Tyndall.

Back at Florida Gulf Coast, point guard Brett Comer returns for his senior season while Miami Norland HS senior Zach Johnson, and Auburn transfer Brian Greene Jr. become available at PG for the Eagles.

FGCU also holds one more scholarship for the 2014-15 season and are looking to add a big man. Butler transfer Nolan Berry visited Dunk City last Tuesday through Thursday, and UNLV transfer Demetris Morant spent the weekend visiting Florida Gulf Coast. The latter stated that "If I had to [have a leader], my number one choice right now is FGCU."
