•Eckerd begins a stretch of two none D-I opponents for FGCU. The second is Ave Maria on Saturday, Nov. 23.
•Joey Cantens, Eagles' Director of Basketball Operations, was a 2009 graduate of Eckerd. He played basketball for the Tritons, and they advanced to the D-II NCAA Tournament in each of Cantens' seasons.
•In 2005, FGCU and Eckerd faced off in the first round of the D-II Tournament and the Tritons got the better of the Eagles, winning 81-79.
•Through three games, Chase Fieler is shooting 67.9% from the floor, 75% from three, en route to an average of 15 points.
